What is TAPT?

TAPT is a super-app designed to help customers manage their financial life. It features access to a debit account with a TAPT Debit card*, that comes with a credit line of up to $500 (credit line and amount subject to credit approval), to help makes ends meet for those living paycheck to paycheck. Link and connect existing financial accounts into the TAPT super-app and manage your finances from one place. You may build credit with on time repayment. Why do I need to link a bank account to open a TAPT account?

The more we understand about your earning power, the more TAPT Money we can extend to you, up to $500. TAPT Money personal line of credit subject to credit approval. We ask you to link and connect your bank account so that we can confirm your income as well as provide the ability to transfer funds from your linked bank account to your TAPT Debit account with a TAPT Debit card that features access to a debit account with a TAPT Debit card*. TAPT uses the transactional data captured from your linked bank account to power your personal financial management tools such as TAPT Budget, TAPT Spend and TAPT Transactions. These tools are designed to help you better manage your monthly finances and cash flow. Linking your financial accounts opens up a world of convenience and control by providing a clear view of your money and where it goes. Create alerts on bills coming due. How do I log into my TAPT account?

On your mobile phone, tap the TAPT app icon to open the app. Tap the Log In button. Enter your Username and Password. If you have forgotten either your Username or Password, tap the Forgot Username or Forgot Password and follow the prompts to retrieve your Username or set up a new Password. If you are still having trouble logging in, contact us.

How old do I have to be to open a TAPT account?

You will need to be 18 years or older to open a TAPT account.

Does TAPT charge me fees?

There is a 10% processing fee on the total amount you advance from your TAPT Money open line of credit, to your TAPT Debit account with a TAPT Debit card. Additionally, there is a carried balance fee charged month over month. That fee ranges from $0 to $10. The amount depends on the amount you’ve advanced yourself.

Will I receive statements on my TAPT account?

Monthly statements are available in your TAPT account. Tap the Menu icon in the bottom right corner. You’ll find a link to your statements there.

How do I get a replacement card?

Inside the app, tap the Menu button in the bottom right corner. Select Manage Cards and tap on the card you need to replace, then select Report Lost or Stolen.

Is my TAPT account FDIC insured?

Yes, your deposit funds are eligible for FDIC up to $250,000 should the bank holding your funds fail.

What is the TAPT debit card?

TAPT Debit comes with a physical debit card as well as a digital debit card to make purchases anywhere MasterCard® is accepted. ATMs located in 7-11’s are surcharge-free. Save your TAPT digital debit card in your digital wallet to make purchases where digital card transactions are accepted.

Where can I withdraw cash with a TAPT debit card?

You can withdraw cash using your TAPT Debit Card at any ATM. Use an ATM inside a 7-11 convenience store to withdraw cash, surcharge-free. Is there a fee to withdraw cash from my TAPT debit card?

There is no fee to withdraw cash using your TAPT Debit Card when you use an ATM located inside a 7-11 convenience store store. Other ATM locations may charge you a surcharge fee. How do I get a replacement card?

How do I request a refund from a merchant?

Contact the merchant directly. Once the merchant processes the refund, you should get credit in your TAPT account. The timeframe depends on the banking institution.

How do I move money out of my TAPT Debit account?

Use your TAPT Debit card to withdraw cash from your TAPT Debit account with a TAPT Debit card using the 7-11 convenience store network of ATMs. You can use your TAPT Debit Card number to pay bills or pay for online or in-store purchases anywhere Mastercard® is accepted. How do I link a new bank account to my TAPT account?

In the app, go to Accounts. Tap on the Connect link in the upper right. Choose your bank from the list or enter your bank name in the open field on top. Then enter the Username and Password that you set up with that bank.

Can I make a payment by check?

No. All payments need to be made through the app. Your payments should come from your linked bank account. We also offer the convenience of automating your payments from your linked bank account.

What is TAPT money?

TAPT Money is an open-ended line of credit that lets you borrow money when you need to. Fees will only apply when you advance your TAPT Money line of credit into your TAPT Debit account with a TAPT Debit card. There is also a fee associated with a month over month carried balance and ranges from $0 to $10. The fee amount depends on the amount borrowed. We report your payments to the credit bureaus, so as you pay back the credit line on time, you may build credit. TAPT Money open-ended personal line of credit subject to approval.

How much can I borrow?

What can I expect during the application process?

Enrollment is easy and fast. To help you prepare, here is a list of the information we need from you to complete the application.

Does TAPT check my credit during the application process?

In the application process, we’ll let you know if you qualify for our TAPT Money line of credit. TAPT Money personal line of credit subject to credit approval.

We’ll do a ‘soft’ pull in the pre-approval process. A soft pull does not impact your credit. If you choose to continue once pre-approved, we’ll then do a hard pull on your credit to confirm employment, income and credit standing. Can I apply over the phone?

No. Enrollment is done on your mobile phone. The process takes just minutes.

How long do I have to pay it back?

Your first payment will be 30 days from the day you initiated the advance. Payments will be broken down into payment periods and repayment timeframe will depend on the amount borrowed.

How do I access money from my TAPT Money account?

Tap the ‘Advance’ icon in the TAPT app. Tap ‘Request Advance’. Indicate the amount you’d like to advance from your TAPT Money reserve. Indicate your next payday and how often you’re paid. Agree to the terms by tapping the checkbox. Swipe right to confirm the advance. At this step you will incur a processing fee of 10% based on the amount transferred into your TAPT Money account.

Can I add cash to my TAPT account?

At this time, cash deposits are not available but may be available in 2023.

Can I cancel a deposit made from my linked bank account?

No.

What happens if I don't pay back my advanced TAPT Money line of credit?

All payment behaviors are reported to the credit bureaus. On time repayment may have a positive impact on your credit score. Missing payments hurts your credit score. Your repayment schedule is available in the app.

Which credit bureaus to you report payments to?

Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.

How do I fund my TAPT account?

You can advance TAPT Money into your TAPT Debit account right in the app. At this step you will incur a processing fee of 10% based on the amount transferred into your TAPT Money account. You can also transfer money from your linked bank account into your TAPT Debit account.

Can I deposit a check into my TAPT account?

Not at this time.

Does TAPT offer the ability to get paid up to two days early if I set up direct deposit?
